[SOLVED] Pattern Labels

Hi all,

Is it possible to somehow pattern labels?
My goal is to create a “string” of stickers on one side of the sticker paper. Please see below:

For sure! You’d need to do a quick UV unwrap on that sticker paper. That should be easy with this surface. Here’s a tut for you: https://youtu.be/Oh4ibAlp9Q4?t=335

By default, labels don’t tile. To change this you go into the texture that’s on that label and under its mapping properties, check the box repeat vertical or horizontal. One of those should work. Be sure to share your result here after you get it!

You mean kind of a UV mapped label that is repeated in one direction just like a texture?

Does it not work with the default repeat options? Oops! Nice that you were able to do a test.

The labels might need some space between. Therefore I chose the map to node and drive the position UV mapped via the mesh. So you can use clipping.

The tiling of a texture is a simpler solution that should work, too!

Thanks @will.gibbons and @marco.wodarz!

It works, but the label is two sided now even with two sided option being switched off.
Any tips?

Ofcourse, that makes sense. Good call!

Looks like you’re on the latest version of KeyShot! That means you can use the ray mask node I beleive. Plug that into the opacity of your label. In that node, turn off ‘backside’ (sorry, forgetting the terminology atm, but should work).
